This packaging
is mainly used for
packing of consumer
electronics and
electrical appliances, structural insulation
and components
for room air
conditioners. Raw materials are first
pre-expanded using superheated steam
to the desired expansion ratio and then
conditioned in purpose built silos
for
aging.
Aged pre-expanded materials are fed
to a moulding
machine for
which dedicated tooling has already
been installed. The aged
materials fill
the
mould cavities and steam is used to
expand the materials within the
mould
cavities thus shaping it into the required
dimension and density.
Parts are then dried in the oven before
they are packed. |
